I GIVE UP
THROWS HANDS INTO AIR
I already messed up on the pose/line of motion and then I messed up with the colors and values / composition and I don’t feel like fixing it
there were originally supposed to be legions behind her but whatever.
This is Ruth/Diligence and if I didn’t drop enough hints, the way I’m approaching this RP is through Aristotle’s Golden Mean— the belief that there are not virtues and vices, but the excess and deficiency of virtue. That is to say, that you can have too much of a virute. So Diligence would look like this:
Overzealousness — > Diligence <— Slothfulness
Except Ruth/Diligence is actually on the “overzealousness” part of the spectrum, not the “golden mean” of Diligence. Basically, her virtue has become her vice, or rather she is the personification of the excess of Diligence. She is absolutely dedicated to the cause, mowing down demons and maybe being excessively brutal about it. She can’t stop to rest or heal for long, she needs to get back out there and not feel useless. And if she gets injured enough to be put on bedrest? Haha. Be prepared to tie her down, or give her SOMETHING to do. She finds it nearly impossible to enjoy luxuries or pleasures if they don’t result in a product. So things like puzzles, riddles, naps, spas, etc. are out of the question.
She’s basically just this rampaging adrenaline junkie who doesn’t particularly hate the demons, but… yeah, she hates the demons.
